    The drive belt on my Whirlpool dryer has failed. I have ordered a new one but could do with some advice on how to fit. I have the back and top off but I wonder what I need to remove (and what I shouldn’t remove) in order to fit, what route the belt takes around pulleys, and if there are any tricks I should know about.

    Small child not involved this time, I hope?.

    No real tricks to the job – inner panel with heater on has to go and the belt runs between the pulleys. Expect a bit of a fight, but that really is about it!
