Hello, the front of my washing machine got scratched during a house move. Only cosmetic damage but I’d like it fixed all the same, if possible. Is it possible to buy a new front piece and screw it in place? If not, I have seen “appliance paint” in DIY stores is it a good match or will it stand out like a sore thumb? Thanks.

What is the full model number, does it end in P,N or S. Three different colours.

Front panels are around £21 to £25 + vat. It really depends just how badly it is scratched and how good you are with a touch up brush or spray can. If you can get a good colour match then car body enamel paints should do the job. If it is white then ‘Domestic White’ paint from your local DIY should be fine.

    Jim.

PS. If you live anywhere near me then I have a white panel you can have for a tenner. 😉
