Whilst i was putting a handle on this machine the customer said they thought it was taking to long to wash. 2.5 hours when i tested it the water was slow coming in, it sounded like it was pulsing in slowly rather than rushing in. As i did not allow time for this (just went to fit handle) i just checked water valve which was ok, Is it a problem with the aquastop? not letting full presure through or should i be looking for another fault. Any help before i take the machine out will be much appreciated.

    Hi Andy
I would uncouple aquastop from pipework; remove seive filter from inside aqustop inlet and check for any blockages. Also check water pressure from mains.
Failing that I would be going for weak solenoid on aquastop.

    Hi Greg

Thanks for your reply i have already cleaned the filter in the end of the aquastop, and i have got good presure, that is all i checked at the time it looks like i will have to order a new aquastop. I thought i would check for advise as new part is £65

I see that you can buy an aquastop valve cheaper than the hoses complete. If the fault is a weak solinoid is this the only one in the machine. Can i fit this only or should i be looking at the hoses complete or even elsewhere.

    Hi Andy
Genuine aquastop, head unit is p/no 091058- £31 inc VAT + costs from BSH.
Its easier and cheaper to change the head unit, only a bit of work required, nothing heavy 😀
