    Hi

We’ve had the above item for about three years and have endured the common problem of the fan icing up. Engineer call-outs got it working again, but then it happened again last year, out of warranty, which prompted us (having seen numerous similar messages on this excellent forum) to write to Currys who’d sold us it to complain of a design fault. However, before they replied I’d got it going again by defrosting and its been OK since in that respect. So we’re hanging fire on that one for time being and I note that there may be a longer term fix if it goes wrong again. However….

Now we are finding all of a sudden that the fridge door won’t shut. The seal looks in good nick and I get the impression that its something else as there seems to be some resistance to it closing when pushed. First off, I thought the door had dropped and was dragging against the floor of the compartment, but raising it has made no difference. I also wondered if the hinge had become misaligned somehow, but it seems to be a pretty solid construction, having removed and refitted the door. Maybe the door or fridge have warped?! Has anyone else had this issue?

We’re at the stage where, if there’s no fix which we can be confident about, we may put it down to experience (800 quids’ worth), get rid of it and get a more reputable make from a more reputable seller.

    cheers
