    Hi Guys :waving:

Great site to assist us oldies in saving money by DIY

My washing machine seems to work fine apart from periodically, when it gets to the rinse light cycle, either long wash or short it sometime just lets all the incoming water straight out the drain.

Stopping the machine & moving to the next action seems to clear the fault.

I have checked that the water level hose down the side of the machine is clear and free of kinks.

The only thing different that has been done to it recently was that a 10metre “grey water ” hose was attached to the drain hose.

    Any help much appreciated

    Cheers :salute:

Just wondering if that could be causing some issues.

If you have simply chained on a hose extension, the machine may well be syphoning. The original drain hose need to have an airbreak above the maximum possible water level. After that, you can run hoses whereever you like.
