    Hi,

New member, first post on here!!

I suspect the element on the above oven has failed.
The oven is approx. 3yrs old and whilst in use it tripped the main household fusebox.

After resetting the trip switch i turned on the oven isolater switches on the kitchen wall, set the clock and all ok.

Tried to turn on the lower (main) oven and it trips the power instantly, no time to check if the thermostat light becomes illuminated etc.

I reset the fusebox again, turned on the oven isolator switches, set the time and all okay again. This time i thought i would try the upper small oven and grill. Both modes operate fine. Try the main oven again and it trips the electrics instantly.

Up to this point in time we have not had any problems with this unit. I think the element is a sensible place to start, but, is there anything else that anyone can think off that could be the problem.

    Regards,

    Nick.

    Hi Nick
If you remove panel at rear of inside of main oven cavity, you will gain access to the element.
The p/no is 499003 – £36.70 inc VAT + costs, and is available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

Power off before attempting any repair on the appliance :plug:
