Hoover error code

    Hi, my Hoover AI 130 displays error code 9, have checked brushes on the motor look ok. Must be something electrical as it put the RCD out, any advice please.
    Frustrated Sparky in Suffolk.

    Very likely the motor has (or did have) an earth short and has taken out the triac on the main board? New board and new motor may be the only cure?
