I hope this one will prove easier to answer than some of the Smeg and other ones we’ve had recently!

This machine is completely dead. There’s 240V into the main pcb but no leds on and the machine doesn’t do anything. I couldn’t try it in diagnostic mode as I didn’t have my tds with me. Looking at the circuit diagram there doesn’t seem to be anything other than the pcb assembly that could be causing that? Am I right?
Also, is there another component that tends to blow the pcb on these machines that I should look for, to avoid blowing a new board? The insulation resistance , door switch and on/off switch on the small pcb are ok. There was no sign of water in the base.
    Thanks

    Geoff

Keep getting dead transformers on these boards. EMW supply them at a very friendly price.

    Thanks Chris,
I phoned EMW when I was on site but the guy I spoke to [not the usual guy] said they don’t do dishwasher boards. I suspected the lv transformer but there doesn’t seem to be one; There must be a different method of generating the low voltage.
