    Hi

    I have just ordered and received these new hinges http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … cts_id=709 but now i can’t seem to fit them

    I managed to get the old ones out and removed without a problem which is why I thought the new ones would be easy to fit. The basic problem is that there is no give in them and i can’t get them opened even slightly to let me hook them in to the cooker. Is there something simple I am missing like a pin to remove or something

    Its all sorted now. Brute force fixed it just as brute force broke them in the first place.

    The hinges are shipped in the closed position and its hard to open them without a good deal of leverage

    For future readers, a short length of tubing may be used (after fitting) to increase the leverage on the hinge arm, allowing it to be moved to the locking position.
