ParticipantGday, I have a westinghouse LF708C front loading washing machine and i have an error coming up with motor speed sensor (SE), i replaced the main power board thinking this was the problem but it wasnt, what else could be the problem. Is the sensor inside the motor and replacing the motor fix the problem? The machine wont even start the cycle, fills with water then goes to spin and trips out on error.
Any help would be appreciated.March 31, 2007 at 12:18 am #209391Penguin45

As far as I can tell, this is an LG appliance, with a badge stuck on it. Tech info over here suggests that the problem can be in the motor or the PCB – motor itself is the prime candidate, so I’m afraid you’ve hit unlucky with your choice. Always worth checking the wiring to the motor and the PCB though.

Yep unlucky not the word, rang technical help at $3.00 a minute and he told me board or motor , had motor tested by friend and he said it was ok, im hoping it is the motor as this little exercise could cost me $400 all up as they wont accept the return of the board, i guess thats the risk you take when you live so isolated and unable to get service help, if i was to replace motor and the problem still happened where would i look to then other than a loose wire.

Can’t add much more at the moment, Taita. We struggle with these in the UK – tech support, well, it isn’t……… 🙁 . What I will do is pop a post up with a link in the trade tech section and see if anyone can give you some more specific info.
