Basic LEDs on edge of door (Rinse, 50 deg wash, 65 deg wash, and power)Hi there,
Seems like whirlpool get lots of posts for this but I guess is the basis of all sorts of faults. So my problem is continuous ‘flashing start light’, can’t detect any pattern or sequence.
Did the clean of all filters, topped up salt. Removed pressure switch and cleaned (looked very gunky and thought this problem) and checked worked ok, tested thermistor (NCT) resistance ok.
It completes a basic cold rinse with no problem.
On wash cycle starts fine, heats water up and appears to wash for around half hour, then empties (I pressume to start rinse cycle) but at this point stops with bleeping and now rinse LED on and flashing Start LED. Double checked pressure switch which seems to toggle ok with, and without water in sump.Reset and tried twice but does same. Cold rinse (pre-wash i think) works and completes fine though.
At a loss now where to check next … any clues please?
thanks

All working again!
I did take rinse aid dispenser off and clean but don’t believe that was it. I think original problem was pressure switch gunked up. In attempt to clean it (before removing it and cleaning it properly) I tried a hot water and washing up liquid soak. Having read other posts I noticed foaming problems and float switches – so ran two rinse cycles, de-foaming as best I could, plus it’s had 24hrs to settle down. Now I have run a normal wash cycle, which has completed successfully.
Many thanks – hopefully my experience will help someone else.

count the flashes and if there is no pause in the flashes it is F1 meaning NTC. the flashes go up to 11 so make sure u count to 12 before an F1 is recognized
