I have just replaced the heater element in the bottom oven of my Zanussi ZHQ575 oven, everything works fine. But in taking off the side cover to the oven because the door hinge came apart while doing the repair. I pulled off brown 240V wire and the tag the wire was connected to. The best description for this part is it has 4 tags ( one now missing) of which three are used. The part is in cased in a black epoxy resin and looks like it has become brittle over time
The oven appears to work fine
I have put insulation tape around the loose wire until I can find out what part I need
Does anyone know what the part is ?
I work away during the week so I may not reply straight away

    Thanks
    Jon

I have checked that both grills work in top and bottom oven and all three fans operate. I have used the oven and it was normal.
I suspect that the device may be either a bridge rectifier to convert AC to DC voltage or a suppression filter when the fans operate.??

    Thanks for the response
    Jon
