ParticipantGood morning
We’ve already had the usual “fan icing up” problem etc etc :rolls: , but, this morning, we’ve come down to the freezer temperature light flashing and both the fridge AND the freezer are warm 😡
I’m sick and tired of this flippin’ appliance.
Any suggestions as to what could be causing the problem this time?
Could it be the same sort of thing affecting the freezer as well, or do you think this could be more serious 😕
Thankyou for reading. You’ve been really helpful in the past 🙂

Hi
One of the defrost sensora or thermal fuse or defrost heaters may have gone down, this will cause the appliance to shut down until the sensors reach 17ocif you switch the appliance off then switch on after 5 mins does the appliance restart as normal ?.
If it does then this will be where the problem lies.bryan

We actually switched the whole thing off this morning in the hope that defrosting it might solve the problem (wishfull thinking I think)
Should I try switching it back on, or leave it to defrost? 🙂

Just out of interest…….
Engineer came out today and …….. oh dear….. it’s the compressor 😥
Very expensive to repair – bye bye Samsung 🙁

I’m in Bristol. 🙂
The engineer came over, took the panel at the back off and the compressor was red hot.
When it was switched back on, the appliance just made an occasional clicking sound. The engineer said it was trying to fire up 😕
Oh well — new side by side being ordered as we speak.
I think we’ll have great pleasure in putting the boot into that lemon of a Samsung lol 😉
