ParticipantIt was working fine until ……
it stopped mid cycle with a small amount of water in the drum. It then started beeping!
So, I turned it off, then turned it on again, tried to press buttons to get it to spin/drain the water – nothing happened.
It beeped – that’s it – no matter what buttons I pressed it either beeped at me or didn’t beep at me – but consistently it doesn’t make the machine work!
I press the on/off button, the door locked light is on, some of the lights on the panel light up, the machine beeps irritatingly – but nothing is being washed/rinsed/spun or whatever!
I am presuming that it must be something to do with the electronics, perhaps a connection dusty/clogged up – can anyone advise me on what to do to sort this out?
If it is a case of just cleaning off pcb’s then I am willing to do so, making sure that the machine is not plugged in, of course! How do we locate the pcbs in this model to clen them off?
Is it a good idea to use a compressed air canistor to clean out any muck? Many thanks for your help in advance

Firstly, have you cleaned the filter recently? If the machine senses water in the drum beyond the time allowed by the computer for the pump to have fully drained, it could ‘time out’ and go into fault status.
Check the filter taking care to drain down the remaining water (using the small grey flexi-hose next to the filter). Then remove the filter. If it is clean, then you may have an outlet hose blockage or a worn pump.
Do these checks before suspecting the PCB computer.
If you have completed these and it still malfunctions, click the repairs @ banner for an engineer in your area, as the cost of a new PCB is high, especially if it’s not necessary. 😉
Power off before inspecting!!! 😀Steve.

Steve,
YOU ARE A STAR!!!
Many thanks for your helpful advice – the machine is now working as it should following a bit of a spring clean in the filter department!
Once again, thank you.

Hmmmm…. well I thought that it did the trick .
It seems that the water isn’t being pumped out of the drum – then the beep goes off. If we open the filter at the bottom of the machine in the front, the water comes out – Whoosh!
So it must be the pump malfunctioning???
How do we get to the pump, as we can only get the top of the machine off – we think that the pump must be located at the bottom on the right – but as we don’t know how to get access – can you advise me further please?

Very astute, spot on in fact and the pump can be accessed by tipping the machine slightly to gain access underneath. Don’t forget to turn the power off first, and don’t splash water into the electrics either….otherwise BANG!
