ParticipantThe digital display on the above has half of the charters not displaying properly. It looks like the bottom half of each on is missing. The BHS site show es a separate display module and board, Any clues to which one it might be as the cost is £ 67 and £135 respectively. Also would the FD number suggest it might be under guarantee, As I would not mind not getting involved with this one as its for a letting agent who takes ages to pay.
Cheers

Will the machine operate on any programme? If so likely as not its the display module either at fault or the tiny ribbon feed connection problem? If the machine cannot operate or it is showing total gibberish, then the main module will be at fault most likely….usually dampness is the biggest killer with these machines.

The FD number shows the machine was made in September 2003, so well out of guarantee!

Martn All the programs appear to work correctly and you can almost make out what its saying, The tenant is paying £1200 pm rent and is insisting she whants it repaired or replaced.

Just had an e mail from the letting agents and they want a firm quote for the washer. So if I order a display module and and it turns out to the main module any want to buy it of me 😆 £1200 squid p.m to rent a house that would pay my mortgage for 4 months. Not even that great a house just enough room for 2 cars, No utility room 4 bedrooms but 2 very small and on a massive estate.

Quote to fit both why don’t ya! 8)
£1,200 p.m. means that she wants it sorting, so, as I said before, give it the full goose treatment and live the dream! 😀

Martin, How can I quote £270 + for a machine which only cost £300 in the first place. Although this agent is slow in paying I dont want to take the P**s as they do pay eventually. My first thought was the dispaly module as the machine seems to work ok, But I have been lumbered with unused parts before and was trying to avoid it happenig again.

Just stick an new Display unit in it then, I’m pretty sure that will cure the problem anyway 😉
