ParticipantOur Electrolux cooker (Model EPSO MWH, Prod No. 94971103802, Ser No. 24114696, white) has a problem with the door. The adhesive for the inner glass panel has failed at the bottom and sides so it is allowing heat and water vapour through to the inside of the door, giving condensation problems.
The door is constructed as a glass panel, with metal spacer stuck to that, and an inner glass panel which is internal to the spacer.
Will it be possible to use some adhesive – like http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Tools+{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}2 … +Glue.html
to glue it back, given that I’ve got no way of applying pressure to the glass as it is internal to the metal spacer, or do I need a complete new door?I have had a look around for doors but haven’t found what I am sure is correct for a complete assembly that can just be put into place.

The best way to effect this repair is to remove the complete door from the cooker. You may have to split the door to remove the glass and carefully clean off all traces of the old adhesive. Cleaning the surfaces to be mated with something like a white spirit or nail varnish remover then allowing it to dry before re fixing with the adhesive can help. Then place the door flat and pile some large books or similar on top and leave for 24 hours.
Inner door panel complete with glass is available as a spare, not over expensive. Part number. 3578339115Jim.

Thanks for your reply.

Is that straightforward? I guess that would involve separating the metal inner door from the front glass. Is there a technique for doing that which doesn’t result in broken front glass?
And then I suppose there would be two glueing operations – inner door plus inside glass; then outer door to inner door. Not a problem – it solves the issue of applying weight while the inner glass adhesive is curing.
I don’t mind tackling this sort of job; just want to make sure I do it right. I don’t want to crack the front glass though!

Do you know the code for a complete front door, in white?

Yep, took a closer look today and it’s pretty obvious. I can see the clips glued to the bottom of the door by looking through the gap at the bottom of the inner pane. And I’ve seen the excellent video on how to remove the door.
One tube of sticky being ordered now.
