Participant2 year old machine. Filled with water then stops with these flashing error codes, which are not explained in the manual.
Does anyone know what the cause is ? There seems to be a lot of negative post about unexplained errors then parts being replaced without resolution by the official Hotpoint engineers.
Thanks for your help !

If you mean neons 4+5 flashing that is supposed to signify a drain time out error, that means it has not drained in the allotted time. If it is draining perfectly then this code can also signify a software recognition error, faulty PCB I’m afraid.

Thanks for the reply !
I can confirm it is neons 4 & 5 flashing.I scooped out most of the water & tried again. Nothing happens for any selected wash cycle – normally after 2 seconds or so, audible activity commences. So no more water is added, and none is pumped out – could it be a pump problem ?

This is a 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit machine, pump obstructions are quite common.
As my esteemed colleagues often quote, “this is a dishwasher, not a waste disposal unit”. Common things are bits of glass, bone chips, lumps of sweetcorn, etc. It pays to rinse the dishes before putting them in the machine.Jim.

Thanks. I have used your links to register with someone in my area to come and look at it, as a pump obstruction or pump replacement is beyond what I’d want to tackle. Time for an expert.
I found your forums, and the advice posted very informative and helpful – I will be telling my friends about it !
