    hi
    working in an aquarius WD63 that trips sometimes when door is closed or sometimes in mid cycle.tested heater seems ok carbbon brushes arcing sometimes what you think?

    Insulation test the motor – probably the armature shorting. Qualtex ARM20 is the cheapest way to fix it. 😉

    When door is closed before you even switch on? You can always isolate the motor by removing the motor plug and running machine. Door interlock and chafing motor wiring harness both common causes of this fault as well.

    brought machine home to run in workshop but now running perfect and no sign of fault

    Has it got a GDA or an FHP motor? There is a small plate on the front of the FHP motor that rubs through the harness close to the plastic ties. Uplifting the machine may have moved a possible harness chafing fault temporarily. Would suggest a detailed examination of the whole of the motor wiring harness, also check where the harness is clipped to the cabinet.

    fhp motor and your right.insulation bare in 2 wires.thanks for that .
    can you recommend a meggar that is reasonably priced as i’m new to game.

    Word is that Ebay has several on offer, not that I have ever bought anything from there.
