I have read your valuable advice in most threads without success. I have a F&P MW511 that wont fill with water.
If the machine is started and left to function of its own accord, the bowl spins slowly (like it thinks it is filling) for a period time and then stops, plays a melody and illuminates (flashing) the hot & cold water temp LED’s (auto restart disabled).
Diagnostics check returns 39 as fault code. When in diagnostics mode, I toggle the hot & cold wter temp buttons and feel the relevant solenoid click (slight vibration) though fails to open. I am an electrician and have measured 130V & 50V DC (cold & hot respectively) at the terminals of each solenoid.
I can fill the bowl with a hose and all functions work correctly except for when it comes time to refill the bowl – the valve fails to open again.
I have replaced the cold water valve with no change – all coils measured 64 ohms.
Is the right fault code displayed for the machines behaviour & what is the likely problem ?
Any comments greatly appreciated.
Fault code 39 indicates a pressure switch /tube failure
Check pressure tube is not blocked ,kinked ,dislodged
Secondary cause suggests pressure sensor failure which unfortunately is integrated into the main Motor controller /PCB
Thanks bigsmokepiker,
Sounds like a new machine is on the cards………
Out of curiousity, does the fault code 39 tie in with the over-voltage I am seeing at the solernoid terminals ? or is there another issue on the controller board (failed circuitry components) ?
(the overvoltage appears only when the controller requires the solernoid to open/ close – it should only be 24V DC)
