    Whirlpool AWM5145/2 auto washer. 8570 5141 5300. Serial no. 41 0230 028627.

    Set a programme , press ‘on’ switch, ‘Active’ lamp lit, door locks up – machine is dead. But after a minute or so, the pump runs for 30 seconds then cuts out. Dead again. 😕
    I suspect the timer unit – but would this machine operate the pump if there is a ‘time out’ situation: ie not filling or spinning within the allotted time?

    Help please!! 😀

    Motor circuits and brushes do interesting things to the computer on start up………..
