    any advice on this fault would be helpful , Hotpoint dryer TC71 drum won’t turn , have checked belt intact and when helped to turn drum manually drum will start to rotate slowly and does not stop and go into reverse action as usual ,any help would be useful thanks

    Capacitor is the usual suspect. The reverse tumble action is different on this model of condenser dryer to some others. The clockwise tumble with heat is a long time period, the reverse tumble without heat is only a few seconds.

    thanks for that ,have replaced capacitor and she goes as good as new now ,thanks again
