    Hi Folks,

Unfortunately it would appear that any independant engineers in the Aberdeen area aren’t registered on here so I’m having to ask for your assitance again.

Our Bosch dishwasher went bang about 2 minutes into a wash cycle (small bang but enough to make me jump 😯 ) with a flash of light, followed by a little smoke coming from the control panel, slight smokey smell but nothing too bad (ie nothing like a capacitor).

I have now had a look and the control panel PCB is damaged. There’s a small area of the PCB beside a component (relay?) where the copper track has been vapourised and a hole burnt in the component.

Is this likely to be a symptom caused by another fault or is it likely that the component on the PCB failed causing the damage?

Does anyone know approximate cost of a replacement control unit (control unit is labelled
    SIEMENS 5WK57651
    18 10 00 10 26 02
    5 600 039 202 AI01
    – I’ve checked the “shop” and it’s not listed)

    Thanks

    Fraser

    Hi
    Module is p/no 269965 @ £68.10+VAT etc. It is available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk.
There is a good chance like you mentioned that something else may have gone causing the module to blow.
If you need an engineer in your area then please feel free to use the link below. 🙂

    Greg,

thanks – got a quote from filling in the form & had a look for an engineer locally but didn’t find one. Looks like we’re going to buy a new machine.

    Thanks again

    Fraser
