Probably the diverter on the heater unit has failed.

    Hi
No it comes as part of the instantaneous water heater unit, if fitted.
Model number will give us more info 😉

    Hi
This model doesn’t have the diverter unit, so I can only guess that there maybe a restriction from the heater to the top basket, recirculation pump is weak or has restriction or low water level.

    thanks Greg
when you say low water level do you mean machine has not taken enough water ?would this not have thrown up a fault code?

Re: siemens dishwasher top spray arm not turning

I have had one that ingested a piece of clingfilm into the wash pump which wedged itself on the impellor…in fact it was such a pain trying to dig it out i gave up and replaced the impellor kit.

If the water level is low it will probably be due to a blockage in the sump hose or pressure system. This is a common problem and it doesn`t always throw up a fault code.

my money(if I had any) would be on low water level
its the most common problem I get on bosch machines
the pipe from the side chamber to the sump will be blocked
The pipe it at roughly 7 o’clock as you look in and gets full of gunge(technical talk) making the level switch advance the programme without enough water to feed both spray arms
    hope this helps

Re: siemens dishwasher top spray arm not turning

    hi all
the pressure chamber and pipe leading from this to the wash pump was full of gunk so i have cleaned this and seems to be working well .is there any need to investigate further?
    cheers

Re: siemens dishwasher top spray arm not turning

Once youve cleaned out the sump hose it will work fine.
It is a build up over time so its not dependent on any other failing.
Best is you can get to this hose from the front of the machine, after removing s/steel cover (plinth) and you can usually just pull it out and refit it without any dismantling.
    Job well done. 😆
