    Just a couple of months after trouble with my Hotpoint dryer, the washing machine has decided it wants some attention.
    It has been making loud knocking noises as if someone had asked it to wash a house brick.
    Reaching inside the drum and lifting the front sharply creates a similar noise and movement of the belt wheel behind the drum is noticeable.
    I suspect the bearings are shot. If you know better and I am wrong please feel free to say so.

    Any tips n tricks on replacement would be more than welcome.

    Not a five minute job I’m afraid. Its a top off, front off, disconnect electrics, tub out, split tub – probably change the tub rear (bearings only if You’re lucky) perhaps shaft and then put it all back together. Good luck
