    Hiyas,
Has anyone come across one of these refusing to pump out? Pump does run, just won’t lift the water to empty the machine.
It’s had an askoll pump fitted, same problem, a Whirlpool supplied pump fitted, same problem.
All the hoses are clear, the ball in the sump has been removed and it still won’t pump high enough to empty.
Only time water comes out is when the drain hose is disconnected from the box and lowered to near the bottom of the drum.
All ideas, knowledge and guesses gratefully received.

    Thanks
    Brian

Is there the dreaded 5p piece lodged down the outlet hose acting like a valve? I’ve found them b*ggers half way down a pipe sometyimes.

Nope. All hoses have been off and checked. There’s nothing in them.

Had the same problem before where there was no blockage, pump sounded fine, took the filter off and it turned OK when set to drain but would not empty.

Found when testing supply at pump that voltage was very low, IIRC it was about 90v. Timer change and all was well.

Thanks for that John, I’ll check it under load, unloaded 240v was present at the plug but didn’t check it when plugged into the pump.
