I went to a Bosch wfl2872gb/5 on Monday, to cure a fault with fabric cond (which I’ve done, see other thread). While I was there the cust said the Machine is beeping at the end of the prog, and asked me if I could stop it beeping.
She has had the m/c since Nov 2004 and it never used to beep, it has started to beep of its own accord.
I looked in the user guide but it don’t say anything about beeping (ie programme end).Any body know why it should start to beep by itself? And how to knock it off?
Or is it an error situation? (although the m/c completes the progs normally)Regards

Hope this helps..The signal for the “Option buttons” can be switched on and off. This requires that the programme selector is set to “coloureds 30 °C” and simultaneously that the “Start” button is pressed and hold down. When the signal sounds, the setting has been stored into the memory. The volume cannot be adjusted. When an additional function is switched on, a long acoustic signal sounds; when the function is switched off, the acoustic signal is short.
The signal for the programme versions can be switched off before the programme starts and at the end of the programme or set to a different volume. This requires the “Intensive”(Quick) button is pressed and hold down. Release the button at the required volume, the setting has been stored into the memory.

Problem solved. I phoned customer and told her what to do, instant cure.
She thinks I’m God now 😳Richard
