Hi all, anybody know the location of the defrost sensor on one of these fridge/freezers and the type of sensor it is IE a PTC or NTC or is it a simple temp “switch” I am trying to diagnose a fault with this but all I have to work from is a wiring diagram. I could do with knowing the best/recognised method of test for these type of sensors. I have access to osciloscope/fluke meters just need to know sensor type and what is a good test measurement. anybody able to help with this type of info? must be a few samsung engineers who have tested these things acording to all these posts….Lol

    Hi BMW

far simpler to replace as there are a set of charts to measure resistance buit the temprature has to be controled when tested.

There are defrost ntc sensors in both frodge and freezer side, the resistances will vary acording to temperatures, -18 would be about 28k and +20 would be about 6k. The defrost sensors would be somewhere within the evaporators.

If none of the above makes any sense best call Samsung !!!!!!!!
