ParticipantI am having problems with water dispenser. No water is coming out, it looks as though the water pipes located behind vegetable drawer in fridge is frozen up. We have turned appliance off for 3 days and water returns but after 2-3 weeks the pipes freeze up again. We have had appliance for 4 years so is not under warranty. I have tried getting repair people in but no-one seems to want to repair Samsung, and Samsung seem very expensive to call out. I would be very grateful for any advice given, thanks.

Hi
The problem will be the evaperator cover failing allowing the cold from the evaperator to come through to the water tank thus freezing it.if its not replaced then you have a high chance that the water tank can split and leak.

Please can someone help. I have twice requested a repair man from repairs@ the 1st one doesn’t do Samsung and the 2nd hasn’t replied back to any messages. If we ordered the replacement parts for the fridge freezer is it simple enough for a diy job? Cheers, Lesley.

My 3rd option repair man has emailed me to say he doesn’t repair Samsung.
What do I do now?
Can anybody offer a suggestion. How easy is it to fit a new evaporator cover? 😕June 2, 2007 at 11:32 pm #212046soozie

I am having the same usual problem with my Samsung American f/f. No water for a day, fridge starts warming up, milk goes off etc etc. Have reset the fridge and temp now shows 16C and going down. Originally it was flashing at 3C before resetting but we knew it was warmer than that.
We do have extended warranty but having read many previous threads it seems the above is the problem.
Question I have is: how do I get to everything. Do I have to pull the fridge out or can I get to it from the inside of the fridge. Freeze seems fine at the moment. The model I have is a RS21 DGRS and it’s 2.5 years old. First time it’s gone wrong and I think perhaps we’ve just been lucky until now.
Any advice would be very very welcome. Thanks Soozie

Hi Soozie
You have said that you have an extended warranty.Contact your insurance company and let the engineer repair it.

Thanks Bryan
Well we might as well get our money out of it!! What I want to do is to be able to tell him (after he’s given me his verdict) of what I believe is wrong with it after having read similar problems on this site.
Do I assume I need a new evaporator cover, heat sensor, thermo fuse etc etc or the lot! I would also need to tell him that we need the update version of the cover and I’ve read there is one that is more effective.
By the way, overnight the temp on the fridge went down to 14C. Have pulled out the veg draws this morning and the white pipe thing at the back is iced up! Our water has now started working again, presumably as it’s now all melting.
Cheers – Soozie (just of to the shops for yet more milk!!)
