Hi All
Hope someone can help me with a bit of a saga I am having. A couple of weeks back i noticed water left in the bottom of the dishwasher (nearly up to the bottom door seal) when I was loading it. I thought this was starnge and ran a rinse program to try and drain it. When I did this the main house fuse tripped. From that point, even draining it by hand, the fuse would always trip.
So – I turned everything off and closed the valve switch to the ater feed into the machine. To my suprose the ater kept coming in and rising in the machine (the filter sunken level slowly fills up and over).
Since I was away for a few weeks on business I told my landlord for him to sort and he arranged for an engineer to visit whilst I was away. I turned off the main stopcock to avoid any overflow.
Anyway – engineer visited on Turesday just gone and ran the DW on a couple of cycles without a problem and then told my landlords wife that it was fine and its quite normal for water to be left in the machine (hmmmmm).
I get back yesterday to find water STILL rising in the machine – it does work BUT water is constantly coming back in even when not in use – this CANNOT be right – can it?
My guess is that there is a valve problem and it is eventualy shorting the pump and that having the stopcock off has dried it out enough until the next time it fills up.
Would I be right in this????
What should I do – I am strggling to convince my landlord there is an actual problem!
Your thoughts most appreciated!!!!!
Cheers
Dave
