    Hi folks

Anyone know of a pattern timer knob or a viable conversion for the above machine as looks like original no longer avalible Part No 179052?

Seem a shame to scrap the m/c just for a broken timer knob as rest of m/c in excelent condition.

    Thanks

Hmmm.. Just looking at picture on Connect and drier knob only goes up to 100min and numbering goes anticlock.. Original timer knob is 120min and nubering goes clockwise..

Took bog standered knob 179192 but same problem 120min but numbering anticlock.. opposite to original.

Thouight it might be possible to change the timer over but the timer that fits 179192 knob is about £70 plus don’t know if it will fit anyway so its making it an unviable repair

But thanks for the reply anyway Chris

Mick, I have just been digging around in the garage and found a 1700130 timer knob. 120″, numbers go clockwise.

With the ‘OFF’ symbol to top, looking from rear the backplate arrow mark points to A and is in a line from ten past to twenty to the hour.

If it is out of line you could always put a mark on the facia.

Let me know if it is of any use to you.

I just checked around for you, and it seems that its obsolete.
Looks like Jims idea is the best solution

Sorry late getting back on this Jim, been away for a week.. but went today.. fitted knob and as you suspected out of position out by 90 deg.. had a look to see if possible to turn timer to compansate but meant drilling new screw holes and possibly extending a couple of wires.. Customer happy with blob of white paint for new indicator position.. Other than that timer knob just the job and you have made a little old lady very happy…

She gave me a drink for you.. so if you are around in Brum sometime theres a drink waiting for you… 🙂 Thanks for all your help Jim.. much appreciated..

No problem, glad to have helped.

You will have to come along to the next ukwhitegoods meeting to get me that drink, plenty of other good reasons to come along as well. 😉

    Jim.
