ah ok…that will teach me to look at the old threads then eh?
Dont believe it-yet another complaint about a customer havin to pay for a callout cos theyve left the transit bolts in….that makes 4 so far. Was a Currys engineer that installed it and now theyre washin their hands of it-what a surprise.

You sure? – or was it just a delivery only and the customer did the install?

Driver probably did it for a quick buck. £5 or £10 in his back pocket, thank-you very much. Imagine how much extra cash the drivers could make in a day!! Also, if asked he’ll only deny it.

Currys drivers are trained around our area for installation.Friend had 2 weeks training before going on the road.He was there a couple of weeks and has been off since because he fell off the lorry

i know i shouldn’t laugh at someone else’s misfortunes but i can imagine the conversation
….”so where did you get the new driver?”
Altogether now…..
….” he fell off the back of a`lorry “May 5, 2007 at 8:19 am #212374Mac1982

Currys drivers are most definitely trained to do installation work. Not to say cock-ups don’t occur but if the transit bolts had been left in I would expect the Currys delivery centre to own the problem.
Hence my continued scepticism as to whether the product was a delivery only and the customer did the ‘install’ :rolls:

I like the calls you get from the customers who have for example just moved into a place with a new fitted kitchen (with sink trap and washer outlet) and don’t realise when installing their m/c, they need to remove the blank, or cut off the end of the nozzle on the trap. I get quite a few of these. 😀
