    miele G676 works ok on prewash,but select any other wash program and after a few seconds lights flash and nothing else happens.the customer says they have called miele and they say it sounds like it needs reprogramming!!.i was wondering if this machine has a component checker,and as it works on prewash and not wash cycles,it might have a fault on the heater side.the machine is built in,do i pull it out or do i tell the customer to go to miele.as iam not sure about reprogramming.
    any help would be great,i hate telling my customers to go to miele and pay those silly charges.

    It can be programmed and I do have some info on this series of dishwasher. I’m hoping to have it all written up for issue 2 of the fault code guide, there’s a lot to write. 😉

    Do you know what lights are flashing or code displayed or is it all of them?

    Programme interuption: All programme sequence LEDs flash

    Basically… you need to use the service mode to determine the fault, I can get you that if required and the machine won’t restart until the fault has been sorted and the machine reset. Fair waring the likely causes are…

    NTC

    Control module

    Heater

    cheers mate i will tell the custmer its worth a look and i will bring it into the workshop so i can have a real go at it. i dont get to see many of these so its all good learning,i dont like to give up.

    Has this machine a rotary knob selector or buttons? The G676 from memory has a little clutch plate behind the knob that sometimes breaks this can cause only one programme to work. CHECK model number again as theres several variants G676 SC,SCI plus, etc etc

    got this machine in the workshop now.actual model is g676 sc-i-2.
    checked through heater circuit.no visible fault on module or plastic knob parts.”on” led stays on, wash/rinse, drying, & end leds flash.
    any other help now would be great.
    possible reprogramming required.(if anyone has the info needed)

    thanks alot kwatt for the info you sent me.worked through the programming and reset last fault alert.now every thing is fine.
    great to do the job myself and not have to send the customer to miele.
    dont know how i ever managed without this site.CHEERS.
