ParticipantMy creda starts its program, lets the water in and starts to wash then stops with a humming noise and the led lights flashing. Usually If reset it pumps out then starts again but now it just makes a humming noice and then nothing and the leds flash again.
Hubby has replaced the pump motor but its still not working.
Any ideas?
Thank you
Gee

Can you tell us by number from left which neons are flashing?
BTW, It is a 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit machine. 😥

1+2 is a draining time out error, either the drain pump is faulty or more likely blocked with something, bone, glass, plastic, wood, sweetcorn etc.
When you say you replaced the ‘pump motor’ do you mean the drain pump or the main circulation pump?
On rare occasions 1+2 can signify a software fault but the humming noise suggests the drain pump is the area you need to investigate. Please remove the mains plug and remember, it is a dishwasher, not a waste disposal unit, careful rinsing of the dishes before you put them in the machine will prevent most blockages.

It was the drain pump motor he replaced, the pump itself has no visable blockages and we flushed through the system with a hose pipe. But still no joy.
I think we’ll take it apart again and recheck the pump.
Thank you for your help.

We’ve got it all apart again and certain there are no blockages. The only thing we have noticed is the old pump motor was 20w and the new one is 40w would that make any difference??
Thanks

The correct part number for the pump is C00090537, if you have bought a copy or non gen pump it may not work correctly. You should not be able to change the ‘pump motor’ only, it should come as a complete pump.

We got the bit they gave us in the shop!!! 😳 Oh well.
We put it all back together this morning and it seemed to work but now the 1st light is flashing. I can’t find the book so I don’t know what that means.I think its looking like a new one for us 🙁
Thanks

Neon 1 flashing suggests the base is flooded, you may have a leak somewhere. TBH there are far better quality machines on the market.
When you say ‘the shop’ do you mean from this site or from a local shop?
A genuine pump is only around £21.00 + vat.

We brought it from a High Street shop, we even took the old pump in! It cost us £25.00 and we put the old pump housing on to it.
Can’t really afford a good replacement ( which is why we gambled on this repair) we are looking at the cheapest end of the market for any replacement. 🙁

Sounds like you bought a duff pump. If you always buy at the cheaper end then in the long run you will replace your appliances far more often. In the long term it makes sound financial sense to buy better quality. Ten years or more out of a £400 machine is better than three years from a cheapo £200/£250 machine.
In this instance buying the correct pump would make more sense than buying another cheap dishwasher.

Sounds like a blockage in the drain hose

The OP did say that they had checked for blockages and flushed through the pipes, also a hose blockage would be unlikely to cause an unusual ‘humming’ noise.
