Hi,
We have a Hotpoint wma64p which just fills hot and cold and pumps out at the same time, going no further into the program. I have looked at pcb which looks burnt. The door lock is flashing too. Has anyone come across this problem as i would appreciate some advise as my wife has stopped seeing the lighter side. Many thanks.Re: Hotpoint filling and pumping out simultaneosly

I think you’ve answered your own question…….. Pay the Indesit Company their £90 and get all the bits for free under your 5 year parts warranty. Cheapest option…….. If it has hit the 5 year mark, time for a new one.

Sorry, I may have come across dumb. I did realise the board would have to be replaced but I was warned not to replace it as there could be another problem which would blow board again. Would it be safe to try new board.

No…….. you have to find out what short-circuited in the first place, to blow the board. Given that the board will be £80 odd plus VAT, I simply outlined your cheapest course of action.
