ParticipantI have a customer that wants me to supply a new dishwasher, problem is the space it has to go in is 23 1/2″ deep x 23 3/8″ Wide X 33 3/8″ High.
My supplier says all machines are a standard 60cm X 60cm X 85cm which means the space is about 1/8″ too low and 1/4″ too narrow.
I know you can sometimes ‘squeeze’ machines under worktops but it took the customer over 2 hours to get the machine out. I don’t want to turn up there and find I can’t get the machine in.
Are there any machines that come up slightly less than the standard size worth considering?

Don’s the man for this really but I can’t recall ever seeing a spec that would suit the sizing. 😕
But then I think in metric and not in old money! 😆

Remove the lid to slip it under the worktop and remove one mdf carcase side panel to slide it in the gap? 😉
Or supply a slimline and just whip the top off and a nice winerack or towel rail alongside? 🙂

I did consider removing the lid but some machines have a top tube taking up some space or a top weight that could get in the way. Any suggestions as to which machines would be less likely to have this?
There are cupboards either side so i I remove the MDF panel i think the cupboard would collapse.
The landlord of the property is going to want to spend as little as possible (as they do) and will probably want something like an Indesit (I normally do my best to steer them away from this) on the models available today, if the lid is removed does it give much more clearance?

I can`t find anything, either freestanding or built in. Bosch produce a height reduction lid which is only a couple of mm thick which in turn takes about 2.5cm off the height but that does not help the width problem 😉 Methinks Martins suggestion of a slimline is going to be the cheapest option. To reduce the height you could remove the feet ❓
