Zanussi DX6453 – end light flashing 3 times

    Having a nightmare with a Zanussi DX6453: The drainpipe got blocked and caused it to activate it’s anti flood device (indicated by the end light flashing 3 times)
    It shares the pipe with the washing machine and that would appear to be the source of the crud build up.
    cleaned out the outflow pipe,checked the float switch and everything seems in order, but…. the light still flashes 3 times.
    Is there some kind of re-set sequence that I need to use?
    Any help would be appreciated 😉

    No reset as such. The flood protection system is the float switch (which you have identified) and a secondary pressure switch attached to the matrix in the right hand side of the machine. This may need stripping and blowing back through to clear. Check pressure switch itself for water ingress.

    Power off, of course.

    thanks for that 😀 I was begining to think I was flogging a dead horse!
    I’ll give it spin at the w/end and let you know how it goes…..
