    I’m just about to buy a replacement dishwasher with a budget of c.£300-£400. I was advised to buy the bottom of the range good make rather than the top of the range less good make when buying a washing machine – is the case the same for dishwashers? Also can anyone recommend the manufacturers to either go for or avoid.

    I would go for Bosch or Siemens. They will give you value for money.
    The Bosch comes with a 2 year guarantee and the some of the Siemens have a 5 year guarantee.
