can anyone help with this one, the machine keeps tripping the heater overload stats, I keep resetting them check the machine and all works ok, I have ckecked for blockages in air duct I cleaned lint filter no grease, water runs through ok, I checked exhaust temperature it cycles up and down at correct temperatures but the minute I walk away I get a call the next day to say the fault is back again also the heater contactor is not very old.

Have you checked the fan blades and housing for fluff build-up? You say water is running through ok but the T5206 is a vented not a condenser machine if I remember correctly.
You may find the tocs have been weakened by continual operation and need to be changed.Re: Miele T5206 Dryer
might be worth double checking the heater contactor, as they are a known weak point, assuming exhaust and vent side are all clear.

Heat contactors and the usual stopping it mid drying cycle before the final cool down period. Impatient people 😆Greg

Thanks for replys I am going to try a new contactor.
When I was talking about water running through filter I meant the fluff filter it can look ok but to test if it is clear you take it out put under tap and see if water flows through it if it doesn’t the filter is blocked by grease and needs cleaning.Re: Miele T5206 Dryer
Miele used to suggest so also change the non reset stat at the back same time as the contactor.

I’d check that the contactor is faulty first as they’re very expensive. £70 or so If I remember correctly. You can get one for about 12£ from RS Components to do the job but you have to lengthen the wiring and work out the connections using the wiring diagram ; they aren’t the same. The RS part no is 211-2436.
