    Hi,

    I have a Samsung RS21DCNS
    Model Code RS21DCNS1/XEU
    S.No 854043CX901472P

When running the condensor and compressor get very hot and the cooling fan does not seem to run. I have replaced the fan motor and checked all wiring etc to no avail. I cannot get any voltage readings after disconnecting the motor plug-I presume the controller will sense a fault and not supply power. Are there any other places to check for faults?
Will the fan start as soon as the compressor runs or does it need to get to a certain temperature before running?

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Regards,
    Andrew.

erm, your live testing mate, and we dont condone that

incidentally, as posted before, the fan doesnt have a supply with the door open, and thats why you wont get 240v there

    simple really

shut the door, and wait a few minutes, the fan shoud run

but please, dont live test, especially not in a moisture intensive environment, it could get nasty

    hope this helps

    Hi Andy

The condensor fan motor does not run when the compressor comes in unless the ambient temprature is so much so it is required. The compressor to run hot is normal,The fan would normally only run a couple of times a week if that in the current weather and temprature.

Helo’s comments refer to the evaperator fan assembly, either way live testing is not recomended even at 12v.

What was the actual fault youn was trying to resolve ?

    Bryan
