    Whirlpool ADP262WH dishwasher. 851126215510. 990050 131500.

Fault reported:- machine not filling. The valve solenoid is buzzing, and the water pressure is good. The valve seems to have stuck shut as a Zanussi one would do in the event of an overfill. (the valves look very similar in design). I cleaned a small amount of black sludge from the airbox entrance pipe and released the pressure to the safety diaphragm on the valve. No bad blockages found but I cleared all the hoses just to be sure.
Machine then filled OK and started to wash. So I pumped it out and set it to another cycle to test it again. Filled halfway and the valve ‘locked out’ again. 👿
I am not sure if it’s the airbox at fault; or the valve? BTW, the pressure switch is tee’d off the wash pump to rotor hose – so it’s obviously a high pressure type.

    Any ideas???

if valve has a safety hose to valve try taking this off double it over and put elastic on it to seal

then try machine if it is valve fault will reoccur if not look elsewhere

if it works put hose back and try again to see if it just had a good day and worked for once

you obviously can only leave hose off while you are with the machine and testing it

this should condem or eliminate valve

    hope this helps
