    Hi
I’m looking for a fridge/freezer which maximises freezer capacity (bigger than fridge if possible). Maximum 150cm high, 60cm wide. Would also like frost free but not essential.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Don’s your man for this one. He’ll probably pick it up in the morning.

    Hi mikey

Not a lot of choice at that height I`m afraid. If you could get to 175cm that would make a big difference to the choice available. As far as the freezer needing to be bigger is concerned, since all the food scares in recent times freezers are either the same split as the fridge or indeed smaller.

Have gone through our A-Z of mainstream suppliers and I have been able to find a few.

The nearest one I can find which ticks some of the boxes is the LG GR232SBFH which is 150H 55W and 63D. 4.4cu ft fridge and 3.4 freezer, which is frost free as well.I am not normally a fan of LG but I must say we have been selling this model for some years now with no trouble at all.

Then there is Hoover HNM2405AA which is 149 X54 X 60 which has a 4.6 fridge and 3.6 freezer but not frost free.

Last but not least the Whirlpool ARC5030 139 X 55 X 60cm, 4.6cu ft fridge and the same in the freezer section.

Contact a local independant retailer for the best advice and good local service.

    Thanks for that Don
Have been looking at the LG but then read that it may be the most recommended.
I haven’t seen the whirlpool but might be the way to go for the bigger freezer section as it will be the only freezer we have & we do have a seperate larder fridge.
Certainly gives me something to think about.

    Thanks again
