My elderly Mum has an Electrolux EOG6330XN gas oven that is only 18 months old, but the the door doesn’t close fully…it sort of “sags” a little in the closed position. The result is that she is losing heat which is both discolouring the panel and wasting her money.

Is it possible to adjust the door so that is closes fully and if it is, could you let me know how?

    Many thanks

    Re: Electrolux EOG6330XN door problem

Locking point in door hinges will have worn, so it no longer pulls home.

You’ll need 2 x 3114227-00/6, about £7 each plus the usual. contact spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for ordering.

Thanks for the reply. I’m rather surprised they’ve worn out after just 18 months in a domestic kitchen. It’s not like the door’s being opened and closed all day, every day.

I’ll contact the spares email. Do the parts come with fitting instructions and will it need the oven removing from the housing? An electric oven isn’t a problem, but a gas one would be if it needs removing.

Thanks again for the quick reply.

Oven can stay put, hinges will come off with the oven door when you use the locking catches. You’ll need to separate the door panels – a few screws – pretty obvious when you have a look.

Wear – has she been sticking the roast on the door to baste it or the like? I do agree however – things ain’t made like they used to be.
