    Hi All,

Just found this site and it looks a life saver.

I have a Hotpoint WM63 which fails to finish its wash cycle properly.

The machine has started OK, does the different cycles during the wash but when it comes to the water drain before the spin the water stays in the drum.

It makes a few odd clicking noises and whurs, which sound much the same as it usually does. The wash dial on the front continues to rotate through the last cycles and onto the high speed spin. The high speed spin at the end in pretty slow (This could be because it still has water in it). The wash dial on the front then finishes and i’m left with water in the drum.

I dont think its a blocked pipe because I cannot hear the pump attempt to drain the water. (Not sure if its the same pump that fills and drains the water).

I hope ive explained as clear as possible.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    cheers, Adrian

Some sort of pump failure – blocked or blown. Drop drain hose into washing up bowl to get rid of the water, pull the plug, then remove the lower rear panel. All pretty obvious once you get to that point.
