    Hi guy’s

My dryer in my washer/dryer was not heating up, but have now reset the trip switch on top of the box, and now it’s working.

However, after 10mins drying, the dryer cuts out, and trips the house electrics. Is there something else I have to do? I did see some where about fluff collecting in a box somewhere, which trips the switch.Where is this, on this machine?

    Thanks….

Blocked ducting should not blow the house trip switch. You have an earth leakage or short circuit fault that needs isolating with the correct electrical test equipment.

Do you think it’s going to be either the stat or the heating element?

Seemed to only cut out once the element had been heating for about 10mins.Otherwise the machine seems to be working ok.

The only way to be certain is to check the element with a meter, just after it has tripped, or change the element, more likely to be element than stat.

i would check all the wiring going to the heater, stats and fan motor.
pay particular attention to where it is clamped to 2 metal bracket one coming off the duct and one on the fan housing.
these wires are normally wrapped in black tape but that wont stop the wires getting rubbed through.

obviously do this with the plug out.
