    Hi

In the middle of cooking somthing using the main oven on my old, and until now, trusty AEG Competence 5211V the oven just went dead.
The fan stopped as did the heating. The lightbulb had been removed 4 days earlier as it had failed and I’m waiting on a new one.
The light beside the switch to turn the oven to fan, grill etc works but the temperature switch light doesn’t come on now.
The upper oven works fine so power is getting to the oven.
The clock is fine and set to manual.
It’s almost as if a fuse has gone which controls the main oven (I don’t expect there is a second fuse after the main one controlling the whole cooker which obviously works as the upper oven works).

Any thoughts on what needs attention?
    All help appreciated 😆

There is a safety fuse on the right hand side of the casing for the main oven. This may have failed, if it has, you need to check for thermostat function or elements down to earth. Failing that, selector switch may be at fault.

    Power off, if investigating.

A blown fuse would certainly fit the bill …. only trouble is I can’t find it ! 🙁

I’ve removed pretty much everything reasonably obvious (to me) including taking the back off.

Standing looking at the front of the main oven, can you direct me to the safety fuse?

many thanks for your time! 😀
