    Hi all,

I have a SMEG UK60MFX1 Type 252 oven and today I noticed that the fan doesn’t seem to work so it is no longer fan assisted. i have removed the self cleaning panels and I can see the Fan blade and a circular heating element around it. I have tried turning the fan oven on with this exposed and there doesn’t seem to be any drive at all (I thought it may be stuck as we got it with the house and it was not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} clean!). I tried to remove the bold that holds it in but the blade simply turns, I have also tried to pull the oven out to look at the back (carefully so as not to disturb the gas supply to the hob) but I can’t shift it.

Does anyone know how you get to the motor and what the PN is so that I can possibly try a DIY job on it?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Rob

Nut on fan is a left handed thread…….. After that, it’s three screws.

P/no for fan and motor is 699250043 – an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for prices and ordering.

Power off at all times, please.

Great, thanks for ths info 😀

Can I get to the fan bolts from the inside the oven or do I need to pull the oven out?

    Thanks

You will need to get the oven out to get to the motor….and you will then see which bolts mount it on 😉
