ParticipantThis is my Hotpoint / Indesit horror story: no spare parts in stock, no-shows and the worst ever customer service.
My Hotpoint dishwasher broke down for the 4th time in three years. Two engineer appointments later, one being a no-show and I am still waiting for my machine to be repaired.
For the first engineer visit, I had to take the day off work, only to be told that the spare parts needed, were not in stock.
For the second visit, I took a second day off work and the engineer did not even turn up! I called Customer Service, only to be told, to my dismay, that my appointment had been re-scheduled, without my knowledge, for the following week!
As Hotpoint / Indesit had now failed twice on their promises, I asked Customer Service for an appointment outside normal working hours, as I could not take another day off work!
Hotpoint / Indesit Customer Service treated my predicament as matter-of-fact. They showed no flexibility and downright refused to send an engineer outside normal working hours.
I was even told by one of the agent’s “manager”, that it was reasonable for me to take time off to wait for the repair person!!! How customer-centred is that?
When I do get this machine repaired, it will be for the very last time. The next time it breaks down I will dispose of it and purchase an appliance from a company that respects their customers and does not treat them with disdain.
Hotpoint / Indesit – bad buy, bad service, bad news.

Participantlol, tell us something we didnt know!
merloni have gone downhill rapidly over a number of years now, accumulating several different brands on the way
it will take time, but theyll learn
trouble is, other companies will fall because they dont have the financial weight to carry through
i wont have a merloni machine in my house, not even a free one

i would have a free Merloni in my house, but i’d give it a good bashing,- to show them what i think about them. A load of utter stinking rubbish is the Merloni group, maybe they should use it for a company motto.

The worms are turning.. no offence meant, but i’m sure Indesh1t will be responsible for their own downfall, this is typical of stories I hear every day.
