    Hello,

When the door on the main oven is closed, there is still some travel on it, i.e. if I push the top edge, it closes a bit further. If I push and hold the door shut, the oven reaches operating temperature more quickly, so must be leaking a bit.

Having read a similar-sounding post, it seems that I need to replace hinges or related components. Bottom edge of seal is sagging a little but seems in good shape, so I don’t think that’s causing the problem.

    E-Number is U1552N0GB/01

Please could you advise me on the likely solution ?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi
If you go here http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/index.ph … 26_313_369 and choose 260797 and 260798 hinges; that should sort your problem 😀

Many thanks Greg. I’ve ordered the parts. Would you like me to post back here when I’ve fitted them ?

    Greg,

It did fix it. Thank you so much. Not only does the oven work better, but I have the satisfaction of having done it myself (well, sort of ).

Can the springs in the hinges be reconditioned ? Would rather give them away to someone who can sort them, than throw them in a hole in the ground.

    Many Thanks
    John

I’ve never heard of that being done but Im sure your local recycling depot may have some use rather than landfill 😉
