Hotpointwf220
ParticipantHi guys new member here I’m Richard Nuttall and I have a Hotpoint WF220P and I can honestly say it’s rubbish.
The problem is when We use the E fast wash 60’c program on rinse cycles it fills up for the second stage of the rinse does two turns then drains and dristributes and then tries to spin with most of the water in the drum.
But the worst thing that gets on my nerves is the spin balance it doesn’t balance the loads and sometimes the machine gives up and spins weather balanced or not. And the fast spin takes too long it doesn’t need to anti tangle halfway, it doesn’t need to distribute after the 1000 burst before the 1200 stage.
if you visit http://www.youtube.com and search for crushu2d you will find my vids of the hotpoint on there. and feel free to tell me what machine you have as I’m quite an expert of reliability machines not fixing machines.

Hi Richard,
That’s a Hotpoint running Indesit/Ariston Evo2 software. That would be the same software in the Aqualtis that you just said was rubbish. 😉
In fact and, the guys more familiar with Hotpoint will correct me if I’m wrong here, it’s pretty much just a glorified Indesit, just like the Aqualtis. Indesit own both the Indesit and Hotpoint brand names as well as Ariston and a few others.
For more on who makes what see this section
For load size info and a bit about OOB read this your machine looks to simply be struggling to balance the small load in the video I saw. Very common on modern machines, especially as the spin speed rises.
How are you an expert on reliability, are you in the industry?

Richard, we have an old Hoover AC180, its lasted my parents 15 years, (only 2 years behind me) and i can honestly say, its been a good machine, but its developed quite a major fault, which is posted somewhere in this forum. Hopefully we’ll be getting a brand new Miele W3922WPS washing machine and a T8622C tumbler, what do you think to those?

Recommended………
Quality gear – if it goes wrong after the guarantee period, can you afford to have it repaired?

You would think if someone had a hoover machine for 15 years, they would consider buying another one.
time to change the name of this site to mielewhitegoods.co.uk.

Thats funny suedehead1, but were replacing our kitchen and that manky almond colour just doesn’t go with our modern maple units and stainless appliances.

If you can wait till the start of July we’ll have ISE-10, IMO, better build and far, far, far better spares and service policies. 😉
It is my totally honest opinion that the washing machine, dryer and (later) dishwasher in the range will “probably” (;)) be the best built appliances in the industry. So robust we can happily use them for semi-commercial use and offer a longer warranty for that use than Miele does.
But then I and a few others on the site were instrumental in setting it up so we are biased. But then, we are also correct.
