I have took vids of:
My Hotpoint WF220P 1200 washer
1 of my Grandpa’s excellent Hotpoint WD860G 1600 washer dryer
and a few of my grandma’s Hoover AL150 1500 washing machine.I know it is sad but I grew up being sat next to one spinning when I was 5

I understand completely what you mean, (and I am twice your age) there is something “magical” of watching an automatic go onto its spin cycle and watching the build up of all the clothes getting pressed into line to balance the drum and then………crescendo we have spin action & a spiral of lovelly colours. Awwwwww Bliss!
My only gripe is that my Whirlpool takes so long to make its mind up as to whether or not it is going to spin and then when it does……..you only get a 30 sec burst of maximum spin speed & are left feeling quite dissapointed, rather mirrors my sex life really.

which model is your whirlpool I had an Aspirations 1200 AWM 828 For 4 weeks as I we couldn’t stand the noise it made when spinning (banging against the casing), spinning anti clockwise which drives me nuts,
taking too long to wash, including quick wash option is used.We had a Hotpoint WM52 or 53 1200 first edition washing machine after the whirlpool for a few years as we needed a modern Hotpoint (big mistake).
